Relevant Life Background

A long, a times intense, and "unusual" soul journey, European and multilingual (English, French, Italian, German) upbringing. Born in Switzerland to a U.S. father, Hungarian mother., French High School graduate, moved to U.S. in '74 as citizen.

Aside from the inner journey itself, this wide-angle, multicultural upbringing (i.e. having been to 22 countries by age 18) instilled a tendency to seek understanding in more inclusive, and ultimately "more spiritually democratic" ways.

I am a "global citizen" and this project is a natural creative extension of such views and values.

Professional Background and Skills

While interest in film was sparked early in my life, the technical opportunities didn't start to develop until more or less recently.

However my professional and "serious hobby" skills in illustration, graphic and 3-dimensional design, photography, music creation and production are now -- as with many other people these days -- fusing into a solid palette of complimentary abilities to create a film.

At this juncture, I use various software on one dual core system: Sony Vegas for film/video editing, Steinberg SX3 for music composition and production.  For the envisioned literally "worldwide" (planetary over-flight scenes), I currently use NASA WorldWind and Celestia.

Patience, Trust and Timing

The weakest link at this moment is the quality of my digital camcorder which isn't even "prosumer" grade; but it is enough for creating rough draft ideas and scene studies.  Once the script is finalized, hiring and/or donation of talents, location, etc. will occur in due time.

Otherwise put as life has shown to many of us, the film line goes, "Create it and they will come" is actually a truism.  Even when one is over-40 years old and still living in a frugal and simple way :)

The "Challenge" Factor

As mentioned above, I have had a disability or challenge most of my life, which can be loosely called an "anxiety condition." However, due to the also stated fact that I am far from a superficial person I also view it a blessing in disguise, a journey combining both grit and grace.

An intolerance to pharmaceuticals required me to use mediation/centering, discipline and other modalities to both learn from and manage this condition.

It also appears that it has made it harder and longer to get to this juncture of co-creating such a long-held dream project. But I live in the now and its opportunities, not the past.

In terms of how this would affect our work together, there are times when I need to take time-outs.  That is, however beautiful the vision of this project, our real journey is life-in-the-now and balance is important.
